Mission statement & guidelines
We are a community of Muslim Women/Athletes powering forward towards investment in our physical, mental, social and spiritual health through sports cultivating a safe, equitable, & inclusive environment. Athletic events & sign ups are announced quarterly or per season.
Respect
Respect the other team, admin, coaches, refs. Everyone organizing, coaching and reffing is doing their best to ensure fairness & equity. Any slander against opponents or members of our community will not be tolerated.
Admin approval
Request admin approval prior to posting events and/or resources. A participant who violates this guideline and refuses to remove the event/resource after being asked to do so will be automatically removed from the group. A participant who violates this guideline 3x will be automatically removed from the group. Fundraisers are only to be administered by admins. We want to continue cultivating this space to support sisters; however, Muslimah Athletics is not endorsing nor liable for any events or resources shared.
Follow directions
It is imperative to listen to admin, coaches and referees and follow their directions on & off the field to ensure a positive experience for our fellow sisters.
Photos & video
Any content in this thread is NOT to be shared nor duplicated with men nor forwarded to any groups. This is an amanaat and violators of this trust will be removed from our community. No photographs or video can be taken without the consent of admin or coaches during our athletic events. If posting on social media, please only post of yourself and obtain permission from your team members if you are able to post with their permission. Please refrain from posting the location of athletic events for everyone’s safety.

No men
To cultivate a safe & comfortable environment, no men are in this chat, nor should be given the opportunity to view the contents of this chat. No men are invited to any of our athletic events. Again, being in this athletic community is an amanaat/trust – Allah SWT is Al-Alim, All Knowing.
Avoid arguing
Please stay focused on the game instead of giving in to anger with teammates, coaches, or referees. Always avoid using bad language and negative words. We encourage healthy dialogue with coaches or with admin if there are concerns; however, we discourage arguing with admin, coaches, teammates, and refs. This will affect your acceptance into athletic programs as it does not adhere to Muslimah Athletics values of cultivating healthy sisterhood.
Play fair
Good sportsmen want to win because they followed the rules and played the best game they could. Never support any effort to win that attempts to go around the rules. Cheating is not acceptable.
Encourage teammates
Team sports work best when each individual supports the team. Praise teammates for what they do well and encourage them when they make mistakes. Avoid criticism and unkind actions.
Respect decisions
Admin, coaches & referees are charged with making difficult decisions about organizing events & plays in the game. Good sportsmanship requires that you accept a decision and call, even if you disagree with it.
Handshake & hug
End a game with a handshake & hug. Healthy sisterhood is cultivated by all of us enjoying sports and knowing how to end a game on a positive note, regardless of who won. Threats, anger, criticism, and other negative expressions are not acceptable.
Logo & name
No duplication, nor usage of our athletic community logo or group name can be used, replicated nor distributed without written consent from our admin.
The intentions of our athletic community are only to serve our Creator, Allah SWT. There is no financial gain to any of the organizers, only a desire to earn reward from Allah SWT to serve His Creation. Anyone who does not abide by our mission statement, guidelines, & initiatives will be removed from our athletic community as we only strive to promote faith, wellness & healthy sisterhood.
